The Sacrament Confirmation

The Church specifies that confirmands be “suitably instructed, properly disposed, and able to renew their baptismal promises.” With these goals foremost in our minds, the preparation program for Confirmation includes weekly instruction, formation requirements detailed in the confirmation packet (coming soon), and a retreat, all culminating in Confirmation once all the requirements have been met.  Our program for Confirmation at Church of the Blessed Sacrament is a one year program (preceded by previous religious education).  One must be enrolled in 9^th -12^th grade to participate.  No one under the age of 14 will be confirmed in the Lafayette diocese.
