Anointing of the Sick

"By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them and indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ."

How to Receive the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick 

Any parishioners suffering from a debilitating physical or emotional illness, or persons who struggle with the infirmities of life brought on by the aging process, are invited to celebrate the strengthening power of the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. One does not have to be in danger of death. Those scheduled for a surgery or a serious hospital stay may wish to request the Sacrament prior to entering the hospital. 

During the months of March, June, September and December, there will be an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Anointing immediately following First Saturday Mass at 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Anointing of the Sick may also be arranged on other dates by contacting Missy Krockover at 765-463-5733 or by email.  

If you have a health emergency requiring an anointing for those in danger of death, call the parish office at 765-463-5733.  If you are calling outside of regular office hours and reach our voicemail system, press "1" from the main menu to contact the on call priest.
